Destinations: Buenos Aires, San Antonio de Areco and Iguazu     

 

Duration: 9 days

 

Program Elements: Historical and Social Center tour of Buenos Aires, Tango Dinner show, Host Family Stay, IB Sister School Exchange, Collaborative Action Projects with an IB Sister School in Buenos Aires at a partnering NGO/School/Orphanage in need,  a Gaucho Immersion day and tour of San Antonio de Areco (complete with horseback riding, Argentine BBQ and complete "Fiesta Gaucha" experience with "Doma India" Guacho-style horesemanship show, Iguazu Falls upper and lower trails, "Gran Aventura" boat ride, Iguazu Ecotrain ride and HOST's Signature Closing Reflection Banquet.

 

Inclusions: International Travel insurance, international round-trip flight, domestic roundtrip flight (Buenos Aires-Iguazu-Buenos Aires), Collaborative Action Project coordination, homestays, lodging at three or four star lodges/hotels, all meals with a beverage (note: last day in Buenos Aires dinner not included, due to flight arrangements), itinerary-specific entrance fees and transportation, all tips and taxes, all listed tours with at least one professional tour guide and two 24-hour directors (one Argentina-based, one USA-based).

Buena Onda is an all-inclusive 9-day experience with programming grounded in the latest educational travel practices and an incomparable culturo-linguistic foundation, offering a meaningful and high-impact adventure, resulting in Global Citizenry development, life-long relationships and memories. Buena Onda is a profit sharing program , with 10% of program earnings reserved to support educators and partnering institutions led by members of the Guarani Tribe in Northern Argentina.

Sister School Details

Each IB Sister school is carefully selected and matched with its partner. Sister school matching includes a vetting process, which involves an analysis of CAS-related project interests, school demographics, school-based host family selection and the pairing of Collaborative Action Project objectives.
